This song includes three vignettes all based upon true stories and all connected by the common theme of "overtightened" screws. In the first, a brand new kitchen faucet has a leak in the hose but because the screw holding the hose has been overtightened at the factory, the faucet cannot be repaired and is thrown out. In the second, a similar story: an outdoor grill cannot be repaired due to an overtightened screw and must be junked. In the third vignette, a broken hearted teenager overdoses on drugs due to his "overtightened" screws and is likewise "thrown away" just like the faucet and the grill.
