From the recording Always Amanda Brown
Lyrics
Four years ago on new years eve,
my wife and I were the designated hosts
After midnight our guests were beginning to leave
Having bid us farewell with numerous toasts
Amanda and PJ had been both invited
They were strictly platonic like sister and brother
But sometime that evening a fire ignited
And they tiptoed upstairs to have sex with each other
I don’t know PJ well, I’m sorry for that
He’s loud and erratic but not overly pushy
I’m told that he simply loves Charlie his cat
I guess you could say PJ really loves pussy
We’ve known Amanda for years this is true
We’ve taken her in like our very own daughter
We’ve met all her boyfriends there’s only been 2
Well three I suppose if you count Harry Potter
But that’s all in the past now, we’ll look back upon it fondly
Kids grow up, we grow old and daughters don a wedding gown
We’ll SAY good DAY to the new Mrs Conley
But to us she remains Amanda Brown
Always Amanda Brown
PJ plays video games and smokes pot
But he’s kind and that’s certainly worthy of praise
He’s works hard but super ambitious he’s not
He quit his dream job selling cars because they worked Saturdays
Amanda can sing, man, I’ve heard her, she whales!
She longed for the stage but that’s not all its cracked up to be
Now she’s got a promising future in sales
And she started as a waitress at the cheesecake factory
But that’s all in the past now, we’ll look back upon it fondly
Kids grow up, we grow old, our daughters don a wedding gown
We’ll SAY good DAY to the new Mrs Conley
But to us she remains Amanda Brown
Always Amanda Brown
Amanda and Taylor are very best pals
Taylor’s two kids ahead in the race to be mommies
They’re very gregarious fun loving gals
Both left wing extremists, they’re practically commies
Amanda and PJ are now on a mission
And soon the names of a baby girl or baby boy pick
But I wonder does PJ possess the ambition
To figure out what he can do with his joystick?
But that’s all in the past now, we’ll look back upon it fondly
Kids grow up, we grow old, our daughters don a wedding gown
We’ll SAY good DAY to the new Mrs Conley
But to us she remains Amanda Brown
Always Amanda Brown
